The Workday project has been moving full steam ahead. Staff from HR, Finance and ITS have been hard at work aligning the data that will eventually be absorbed by W&L’s new cloud based tool. Recently, we successfully moved into the Configuration & Prototyping Phase of the project.

The project team is now actively working with consultants from Alchemy to catalog and inventory the many hundreds of operational tasks that reflect the daily routines of departments all across the University. The goal is to peel back and analyze every possible business process “use case” before software testing begins in February of 2020.

As progress continues, we’ll be sure to keep all faculty and staff in the loop. Our goal is to reach out with important updates, while introducing you to the features and benefits available within Workday along the way. Now for the fun stuff…

One of the ways to make these “introductions” is through Workday Quizzes. Centered around common FAQs, they’re designed to give you a quick glimpse into Workday concepts. And, if you participate and answer correctly, you’ll be entered to win Workday merchandise.

Our first quiz will open on Monday, November 11th. The quiz will close on November 15th. Be sure to check Campus Notices, the Campus Connection newsletter and ITS Twitter for updates.

Contest Rules: The contest is open to all current W&L faculty and staff. Individuals are eligible to win no more than two (2) prizes from now until Workday Go-Live in July 2020. Quizzes will have published open and closed dates. Participants can submit one entry per contest (quiz). Five (5) Winners will be selected from a random draw. The winners and the correct answer will be announced here on the Project Workday Website the following week. Staff from ITS, HR, and the Business Office are not eligible to win prizes.
